美國職籃nba金州勇士隊球星柯瑞，走訪亞洲並受邀在日本職棒讀賣巨人隊與養樂多隊的比賽中開球，他投球架式十足，表現有板有眼，東京巨蛋的球迷給與熱情歡呼。
根據美國職棒大聯盟官網cut 4與體育消息網站dime on uproxx報導，這場巨人隊主場的賽事，柯瑞（stephen curry）身穿繡著他姓氏，並與勇士球衣背號同為30號的巨人隊隊服，手持藍黃相間象徵勇士隊顏色的手套，在全場球迷歡呼聲中，小跑步站上投手丘。
報導說，不同一般受邀開球佳賓，多是站在投手丘前草皮，只能扔個拋物線慢球到進壘點，柯瑞則是踏上投手丘，腳踩投球板，投出一個不錯的開球。
報導說，柯瑞在籃球場上約6.7公尺的三分長射，nba史上無人能及，來到棒球場，投球板與本壘板間約18.44公尺，投球身手同樣了得。
30歲的柯瑞稍早接受espn訪問表示，自覺狀況仍處巔峰，要盡可能保持這樣的狀態，並說他將督促自己朝這個方向努力。
